Tauriko, 'The Crossings', 'The Depot', Tauranga

The Crossings retail development was undertaken as a joint venture with Buchan group.  JCY were tasked with providing design and documentation for the prominent corner anchor tenant, a 3850m2 large format supermarket - Pak’n Save Tauriko.  This project was stage 1 of a proposed 2 stage development including boutique eateries retail shops and (as part of stage 2) a large cinema development.

Strong brand identity was a key design element with a striking yellow facade and black exterior structural steel and shopfront joinery complimenting the rest of the development to provide a well-balanced and accessible retail precinct.

Located across the road is The Depot, a large-scale bulk retail of 22,000m2 total GFA with average tenancy sizes of 1,000m2.
