Clendon Food CourtTwo combined tenancies of 850sqm total GFA provided the opportunity for a new purpose built Foodcourt to revitalise an established suburban shopping centre. The proposed design created nine new food tenancies to cater for a 280 seat food hall and included new restrooms and disabled facilities. Modern and robust finishes & materials were selected to create a chic and welcoming ambience to the Foodcourt. Light coloured timber seating compliment the Tasmanian Oak balustrading & timber slats / panels on the walls & bulkheads. These are contrasted with random size diameter ring light fittings suspended from the black sprayed ceiling and help to minimise the mechanical air-conditioning ducts and building services running across the ceiling. Porcelain tiles to the floor were specified to provide a good looking & hard wearing but easily maintained commercial surface while the timber panelling whilst aesthetically pleasing & warm, were carefully selected to comply with stringent fire requirements. Tenancy leases signed before construction indicated the enthusiasm & the need for the project. Completion projected to finish in early 2020. |
